Comments/Problems:
 
Fails to detect Maxtor 750GB SATA/300 3Gbps Internal Hard Drive (STM307504N1AAAS-RK, PN: 9DP1AR-590)
 
Disk was partitioned with/for/in Windows using PartitionMagic 8 with additional blank space and Linux Ext3 partitions, swap, etc., but the disk itself isn't being discovered at all.
 
Also no joy with http://ftp.ucr.ac.cr/ubuntu-cd/8.04/ubuntu-8.04.1-alternate-i386.iso , as I cannot find a driver that works....
 
Installed and running Windows XP Professional fine...
