There is an extension [1] for Google Calendar support, but it's not
available in the Ubuntu repositories if I remember correctly.  However,
it's easy to install (along with the current version of Lightning [2])
into your TB profile.

Since it's not 1.0 yet, there are a few hangups, but it works well
enough for me.
