I'm on a Gutsy 64-bit system with 3GB of memory.

System Monitor, System tab, Hardware: 3.0 GB

So far, everything as I expect it.

In short, if a system has 10GB of memeory installed, I would expect any
memory monitor to show at least 10GB, or more, not less.
