Meh.  I'll give it a shot.  I've tried to re-read the thread, but maybe 
I'm missing something simple here.

Based on what you've said, it /looks/ like a DNS issue.  Am I right in 
reading that you can get to the server /all the time/ by IP, but not 
always by FQDN?
