I am not sure, I just don't see an option to select sdb's MBR where I
want to install grub. In Fedora and Ubuntu one can explicitly select
the disk where grub needs to be installed. IIRC in Fedora one can
change the hard disk order right from installer and in Ubuntu you can
select the disk where you want to install grub, here in open SUSE 11
there is just no option to do that.
