Never heard of an un-installer for an operating system. The OS is so
basic to the operation of the machine it's just not
practical. Cleaning up fstab and menu.lst are easy enough since they
are simple text files.
It seems to me that some are looking at Linux as though it is another
application that can be installed and un-installed if you don't like it.
Even though most OS installs are point an click nowadays, installing one
is still a bigger deal than installing an office suite.
I suppose one could create a bootable CD that would perform the
necessary tasks automatically, but the possible configurations are
endless, especially when you start dual booting. Even with some kind of
OS un-installer I would be afraid it would nuke the whole system.
