Not meaning to fan the flames (isn't it a shame when you feel you almost 
have to have that disclaimer?), but he may be referring to a specific 
market of people who are fence sitters in choosing to use it or not, and 
is advocating using the liveboot method to test the waters because dual 
booting leads to more trouble than benefit for people unfamiliar with 
how their system works. I don't know the original commenter at all so 
this is pure speculation.

As much as these act as a balm for our own feelings, when it steps this 
far outside the boundaries of constructive discussion maybe it then is 
just more fuel for flames that will only act as a black eye in the 
archives. While I'm not an official with Canonical or Ubuntu.com, 
wouldn't it make some sense to go back to corners and calm down a little?

That was a boxing reference, by the way, just in case someone wants to 
read more into that than is there.
