Yes. What happens when you try "Connect as other user"? I'm wondering if
the username on the Windows box matches the username on the Unix box,
but the password doesn't, and Windows is automatically sending the wrong
password. Just a guess, though.

You *have* checked the permissions on the directory, right? And the user
concerned (that is, the effective user on the Unix side) *does* have at
least read and execute permissions on the /media and /media/HD3?
