That begs a question. I come from a Debian environment, and we've (at
least since Etch) been using aptitude all the time rather than
apt-get. So, I've been substituting aptitude for apt-get when
installing stuff. Why are all the instructions for software
installation on Ubuntu (that I've run across so far) telling people to
use apt-get rather than aptitude?
