I'm sure their is a better way of doing this, however once you have
hardy installed, turn off any repositories in sources.list (do it
through synaptic) that point to Gutsy and then update.  I think once it
tells you you were up to date then you can rely on this.

Patience yields far greater results than brute force or rage ever could
so relax......it's just life !!!
