A third solution: a hard drive that can be included in the chassis (free room in the chassis for a second hard disk) or used as an external har drive (it would use in both cases a USB port).

So, the user would deciede when and how plug the hard disk to the laptop (i.e. donĀ“t include in the chassis upto the moment the second operating system is installed).
