hi guys,
i would like to mention that i have tried the wubi.exe install on a PC
with xp (my mums) and it all went to
plan apart from the fact that it didnt preserve the xp-recovery-console
option in the boot.ini
this is very bad for a noob (not too bad for me however) and i wonder if
it will be returned
on uninstall?
also, i have tried to copy back the right entry and boot into the
xp-recovery-console but
now it tells me that the (sorry to quote the horribler windows, but thats
life!) "hal.dll" is missing or corrupt
i have tried replacing this file with no success....
ps. i am happy with "hardy" but its still on a testing partition, will
upgrade sooner or later, just resolving any
issues before i part with my trusty "gutsy"
pps. can anyone recommend a way of adding a low-pass filter for my
subwoofer i.e. a program cos i
have so far had no joy with adding code to /etc/asound.conf
