right, as much as mark would love time travelling functionallity in
launchpad to travel to the future and find breakage in advance for a
release we will do in two years. the LP team is to busy with other
stuff, so we still are bound to the constraints of time and have to fix
breakage *after* it occurs ...

read: when dapper released we didnt know which packages need handholding
when hardy comes out, its essential that you have the <release>-updates
repository enabled and that at least update-manager is up to date to the
latest version ...
