Linux isn't immune to viruses but it's much more robust than Windows.
You do have to take into account the fact that Linux hasn't been
targeted by virus-makers in the same scale as windows. But let's not
forget the other side of the coin, a ever-greater number of apps
designed for windows is run under Linux with the help of wine. What
about the threat these applications pose to the overall system?
