RAM overheating

Normally commercial temperature chips are rated to 70 degrees C so you
are in spec depending on where you are measuring. The internals are
usually hotter than the external so you may be at 70 or more.

I would find a way to blow some air directly on them, even if you have
to make your own adapter to blow air. You want the air coming from the
top and blowing out through the spaces. or from the end blowing through
the spaces. Blowing across the top will not work. You can get standing
waves and the air will not move. It is amazing how little air movement
makes a big difference.

Cooler chips last longer, and are more reliable.

I saw some motherboards last week that had heat sinks for RAM built into
the motherboard, which I thought was weird, but if your memory is that
hot, then I understand why they had it.
