GRASS - GIS- getting and installing

Hi

Tried the package manager and was not able to find Grass in the
repositories, is there a way to find it?

How did you attempt to install it?  Did you use the package manager 
(System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager)?  If not, give 
that a shot.  Grass is in the repositories.
