Honestly, i would go to mozilla.com and click the download button. Then unpack it and edit the menu to point to the new executive. Which reminds me. I gotta upgrade the version on my flash drive for use at school.

Same here, and upgrading to FF 2.4 on 7.10 worked too.

Ubuntu extensions, DownThemAll and ForecastFox are all
working for me, but not Foxmarks, Zotero or Tor Proxy.
