Installation method & Visio like program

Open Office Draw is the closest I have found. After using Visio 
Technical 5+, it was simple to figure out. Yes, I know that was before 
Microsoft had a chance to ruin it, but there was no need for me to 
upgrade later on.

What I haven't found is an effective way to import Visio drawings and 
templates into OOo.draw. I have some UML design charts that I would like 
to convert.
