hi
i am alex,i don't recomend you to do that on a laptop
it's better to do it on a separat hdd, because any linux is installingsome files on the windows partition, and that will harm both programs, ihave try this and after a few days it colapsed all,and lost all datafrom my comp.after that i have put another hdd drive in,unpluged theprimary drive and installed the linux.now it is working.when i start mycomputer y select the boot type i need, linux or windows,be carefullwhit the internet launch you need to set up the corret parameters towork not all start automaticaley when it finished the instaling.youneed to try in troubleshooting and there it will tell you what to do.
good luck

Also it will be smart to defragment your Windows before starting. If
it has been a long time since you did this it will take a long time.
