Ubuntu 8.04 mit Firefox 3 != fatal combination !

What I was referring to is OOo3.0 Beta:

I've been testing 3.0 since m3 (it's now at m7 and due to go to m8
shortly) and it's really quite an improvement over 2.4. Beta is April,
rc is July & full release is September.

Further, 2.4.1 will be the last bugfix for the 2.x series and 2.x will
fade into 1.x status after 3.0 is released.

If you're going to load in FF 3.0 beta, why not load in OOo 3.0 beta?
