VMware and Hardy

I can't answer your question.  I have little experience with VMWare; 
however, vmware-server recently dropped off the repos, as far as I can 
tell.  This is related to kernel changes, and there are some patches on 
the web if you google.  I tried them but I think they are not designed 
for the vmware-server I had installed from Ubuntu packages (debs). 

I sure hope that 8.04 is ready for VMWare.  There is, in fact, a 
vmware-server 2. beta.  I am waiting it out.  One issue there was an 
expiration date apparently built into the earlier beta build.
