Same reason you know of the common toilet seat argument in the first place.

Once in awhile, you live with it.

When you deal with it constantly, it starts to grind on you until you 
have one bad event in your day too many and want to rip someone's head 
off for contributing to your barrel of irritations.

You don't read letters and books backwards or bottom to top, you don't 
use most IM clients bottom to top, so unless this is some kind of manga 
forum, stop doing things backwards!
