7.10/64bit and 8.04/32bit

Personally I had no issues (except that I had the flash plugin in my 
local plugin dir) with using 32bit/64bit with a common home. I would say 
the only real issue is, don't use a combined /boot as some people do 
since the kernel names are the same in 32bit and 64bit.
