Maybe caps-lock is set now or was set when you entered user name and
password during the installation? Probably the best way to proceed is to
start in recovery mode and set a new password for your user account. See

When you start the PC, press ESC when you see the "GRUB loading" message.
Then you can select the operating system to boot, i.e. Ubuntu or Windows.
