Unable to run live 7.1

Rick,
	When the Linux Kernel boots, at what stage does it freeze ?

Appears like some unsupported hardware issue that can be overcome.
In your BIOS setup try disabling all intergrated features ,like
sound,network,acpi after loading "failsafe" defaults. 
Oh and disable "PLUGNPLAY OS" too.
This ensures there are no Windows only conflicts.	

If this fails we should then attempt the safe-graphics mode.
