Sorry all, my bad with this.
Anyhow, some people have mentioned similar issues.
One of the solutions was to turn of IPv6 support in Gutsy.
From a terminal type: gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/aliases
Look for the line that reads: "alias net-pf-10 ipv6"
Change the "ipv6" portion to "off", save and restart.
Also, try commenting out any IPv6 lines in /etc/hosts.
