Ubuntu's OpenOffice formatting changed from XP's OO formatting

I was told to use the command  " ~$ sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts "  I used it in the 
"Terminal" but it's asking for a password.  OO.o writer doesn't ask for a password.  Apparently I 
didn't clarify completely.
