Microphone through Firefox (http://www.forvo.com)

I'd like to be able to add pronunciations to the website http://
www.forvo.com, but I can't seem to get my Ubuntu Gutsy installation to 
use my microphone.  It works fine when using other applications, such as 
skype, but when I try to use it with forvo.com, it doesn't work right. 

Has anyone else gotten this to work correctly?  Any ideas?
