USB key does not mount

Hi,
I have a USB key that I can mount on a windoze PC. On my ubuntu system I
get the following errors in dmesg
[ 2592.567111] usb 5-6: USB disconnect, address 17
[ 2597.999102] usb 5-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and
address 18
[ 2598.053557] usb 5-3: device descriptor read/64, error -71
[ 2596.292809] usb 5-3: device descriptor read/64, error -71
[ 2596.303594] usb 5-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and
address 19
[ 2596.353721] usb 5-3: device descriptor read/64, error -71
[ 2596.421674] usb 5-3: device descriptor read/64, error -71
[ 2596.432220] usb 5-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and
address 20
[ 2598.376622] usb 5-3: device not accepting address 20, error -71
[ 2598.390282] usb 5-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and
address 21
[ 2596.706380] usb 5-3: device not accepting address 21, error -71
Any ideas what is wrong?
Other keys work flawlessly
