Cookbook to get home into separate partition !?

Thanks for your efforts and feedback ! ;-)

I am worried, especially, with your closing your suggestions ...
... that you are NOT sure ... !!! ;-|

I do appreciate your expression like this because it means I have to be
very careful !!!

My intention, even being a Linux / Ubuntu newbie, is to have a smoth
and 
lossfree change and I want to learn the best and easiest way how to
do ! ;-)

Another problem I face:
I do not feel confident with my backup since it doesn't get
verificated !!! ;-|
What is the value of my backup if finally I am unable to
restore ??? ;-((

So I will have to wait for some more solid recommendation/s to get my 
move done perfectly ! ;-D
