hello,

i used to have the same problem as you. and my video card is Intel GMA945.

in my situation, it's because of the lack of the video card drivers. you can just reboot your computer with your 7.10 LiveCD and copy the xorg.conf to the 8.04 system.

NOTICE: the format of xorg.conf is different between 6.06 and 7.10, so you can't use the xorg.conf file in the too early versions.

hope my experience can help you in some degree
(sorry to say that my english is not good)

Subject: Scrolling problem with firefox 3 on Ubuntu 8.04

Hi,
I upgraded my Ubuntu 7.10 to Ubuntu 8.04 beta and I found that the built in Firefox 3 beta 4 not supporting for scrolling well. The scrolling is very slow and it worked fine with firefox 2.0.xxx.
Also scrolling working well with other programs and only issue is for most important Firefox only.

My pc is branded hp desktop with Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz and 1Gb of memory.

Indika.
