Update manager problem

Hi JV,
You could also check the sources.list file to make sure that the
repositories are not commented out. It is located in the /etc/apt/
directory (/etc/apt/sources.list). Have you tried running "sudo apt-get
update", then a "sudo apt-get upgrade" from the terminal to see if that
might work?

Hi JV,
An easy way to graphically check your repositories is in
System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager
Settings -> Repositories
There is also a "Reload" button that should update the values to the
latest ones.
To find out command line, try "man apt-get"(?)
