Turning off the pop-ups for blank CDs and DVDs?

Is it possible to disable the pop-ups that appear when I insert a
blank CD or DVD _without_ disabling auto-mounting of (non-blank) data
CDs and DVDs?  (If it makes a difference, I'm using XFCE4 on Gutsy.)
