According to kerneltrap.org, ICH8 runs fine sine the 2.16.18 kernel.
Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) uses 2.6.20 and should work, earlier versions (6.06
(Dapper) uses 2.6.15, 6.10 (Edgy) uses 2.6.17) probably have serious
problems with this chipset.
