installing using a serial console?

I have freebsd machine in a very remote branch office of ours.
it is attached to a serial console server so i can get access to it
even if it networking isnt working.

I want to switch the machine to ubuntu-server.
I want to save the travel time, so i was hoping there was a way
to do a server install using a serial console?

is there a way to get this to work?
