Problem with compiz-fusion

Hi,

I am facing a problem with compiz-fusion in my Ubuntu-7.04.
The properties window of panel or desktop doesn't show any text or list or
edit fields. Just appears plane white.
I understand the compiz-fusion is still buggy but is there a fix for this
problem in particular.
The same package worked quite fine on opensuse
