GNOME launchers execute twice on double-click from Nautilus?

Quick follow up, I searched around on the gnome bug tracker and found
that someone has already reported this issue [1]. The submitter also
made the interesting observation that this seems to only happen when
in "View as List" mode. I confirmed this by switching over to icon
mode and I could not reproduce. I'll update the bug report with a
link to this thread.
