Subject: map ftp onto ever changing dir - possible ?
I have a directory of constantly changing avi files from a CCTV
system. I need to make these avalible via FTP on a network.
Is it acceptable to just map the FTP working directory to the ever
changing avi directory ?
I guess what I am saying is - does FTP keep a record of what files are
in what dir in which case changing the avi filles without uploading
them via the ftp program would be a problem.
I could make a script to upload all the files to the FTP server as
they change, but its pretty messy.
Any advice greatly appreciated
Cheers
Dave
