Samba / SWAT

I just upgraded from 7.04 to 7.10 using the Synaptic Package Manager and
lost connection to the Ubuntu machine I'm using as a server. There were a
number of files that the upgrade routine asked me if I wanted to replace
them and I said no to all. These were configuration type files that had been
modified in some way from the default versions. But now can't "see" the
Ubuntu server from any of the Windows XP machines.

The primary task is to get the shared printer working again so everyone
stops yelling at me. I have pulled up the CUPS manager using
"http:\\localhost:631" and everything looks OK there, and I have used Webmin
to look at the Samba settings and everything looks like it is wide open to
ANYONE on the LAN to access, but no one can "see" the server from Windows. I
can however from the Ubuntu server side browse the network and see all the
Windows XP machines. I can view files in the shared folders that do not
require a password, but can't access those folders that do require a
password.

I just used the package manager to download and install the SWAT tool. But
can't find anything that tells me how to run it! I thought there was some
place where I could search the Ubuntu documentation for something that would
help, but can't find anything. If I type "SWAT" in a terminal window, it
does nothing.

The next step will be to get eGroupware back up and running it too died
after the upgrade. Not only can it not be accessed from machines on the LAN,
but it is producing MySQL errors when I try to access it from the server.
Anyone using eGroupware that had problems after upgrading to 7.10?

Help!

Jan
