How about this assumption: the OP (wrongly) assumes ethN interfaces are wired, 
and wlanN are wireless.  We could go on forever, if the OP himself does not 
provide enough information.

Carl, please answer Mario's question: how do you determine that it recognized 
the wireless connection as wired?
