Newbie here with ATI card

[SYNass IT Ubuntu / Linux]

Can you enlight me with my proper settings with the following
configuration:

1) GPU Ati Mobility Radeon 7500 (IBM Thinkpad T30) max 1400x1050
2) at home docked w/external TFT: Belinea 17" 17.40.10 max 1280x1024
