About Googling for the appropriate answer...
I managed to screw up my file system a little bit by following not the
best advice for a former problem I managed to solve alone (restore
Grub)
So, on booting I get the "fsck died with exit 8" error, which of
course has many matches on Google, but none of it is in a language I a
newbie can instantly utilise...
Learning from my prior experience above, I am not sure which advice to
follow and anyways, which is relevant to my personal situation.
My file system erro message is from
/var/log/fsck/checkfs
Log of fsck -C -R -A -a
Tue Oct 30 22:46:12 2007
fsck 1.40.2 (12-Jul-2007)
/dev/sda6: clean, 99951/523264 files, 590581/1046225 blocks
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=f5b45fe9-0bfc-44a2-b6fe-e799552ac175'
/dev/sda8: clean, 11/15220736 files, 525809/30419069 blocks
fsck died with exit status 8

So what to do not to have this error message on boot? Could you guide
me - to the source?
Thanks very much,
Nelson
