Recommendation: good file compare program ?

Hey,
  An easy way of getting the brief description of all man pages would be
simply `apropos " "`. All command names have a space between the name
and the chapter number.
(Apropos and man -k are synonyms). 
For me `apropos " "|wc -l` returns 2753 :)
