Of course he has a clue. Your assertion is just plain nuts! If 98% of
computer users were using static IPs, we'd have run out of IPV4 addresses a
decade ago. Almost everybody uses DHCP because _we have to_. And even if
you want to configure a local LAN with static private IPs, Michael is
absolutely correct that it's easier to do it by configuring the DHCP
server.
