7.10 bug

I have a bug, but I don't know what package might be responsible.

My machine is on overnight and runs a screensaver.  When I try to use
the machine in the morning it takes about 50 seconds to restore the
screen and one of the CPUs is used 100% during this time.  It's not the
screensaver itself because I have tried both the default one and
xscreensaver.

Has anyone experienced this? Or has anyone any idea what might be
responsible?

7.10, amd64x2, ASUS M2N-E, 2GB, nvidia GS7600
