Really dumb complaint - we hate the light- brown desktop at the start!

Thanks for the replies, but that isn't the solution, I have already
set the local login colour to black. This is a Gnome issue, the brown
shows up once X kicks in, as your desktop gets loaded. Your own
desktop colour choice ios the last thing to get loaded, before that
it's light brown.

Any other ideas?
