I've got a Western Digital My Book sitting on my desk right now. It works
fine. I have had problems with it not being detected by Ubuntu, but if I
shut it down and unplug it and then plug it back in, it usually works.
Once connected it just keeps working.
I do end up with two icons on my desktop for it instead of one, but I get
that from my USB stick too. I wish I knew how to get that to quit.
