New install with 7.10 minor bugs

Just wiped out hda3 on my HD for Gutsy - So far so good The only
glitches:

It insists my hd is a scsi drive which it ain't. That's OK, whatever
makes it happy.

It offered and I agreed to DL and install the proprietary driver for my
Nvidia card - BUT I cannot turn on even normal desktop effects. Hummm.

The Live CD booted fine, recognizing everything on my machine but the
install didn't. First reboot it insisted on installing a Vesa driver at
800x600. Wonder why it recognized the Nvidia card and then didn't. Ahgh
Computers, what a pain.

Put a couple of icons onto the desktop for stuff I use all the time. But
it wouldn't show them until I rebooted.

It also started up all sort of Bluetooth garbage. which I then had to
disable.

All in all not bad....considering the problems some are having on this
list.

Cheers
