The general concensus is to upgrade Dapper -> Edgy -> Feisty -> Gutsy
The easiest way is to change your apt sources list to reflect the name
of the distro version, then from a terminal run 'sudo apt-get update &&
apt-get upgrade' (without the quotes, of course).  Then change sources
and re-run until you're up as far as you want to go.
Back up your drive(s) before hand...
