Hello Dorita,
See if this works. First unhold any packages that are
on hold:
Sudo aptitude unhold
Aptitude is supposed to be better at fixing broken
dependencies than apt-get.
Then do:
sudo aptitude -f install
If this command completes without error you should be
OK. Then do a sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude
upgrade to be sure you have picked up everything.
If this doesn't work, you need more capable help than
I can give.
